Tuesday: The exchange continued and this time we went in the hood of Peoria. Let me tell you we met some interesting people, and they all like us because we talk about God. But they don't like their neighbors pretty much everyone told us that. I also met so many people decked out in Cleveland Cavalier gear, but I asked em if they like the cavs and they said naw we LAKERS fans now. In my head I was like bandwagens. We then went to Penn station and it was good but pretty pricey. We finished the day off by washing my car and vacuuming it. We then went and played volleyball. I felt like my skills were just getting wrecked by some competitive members. I felt pitied on so I was like smh. But we then went back to the zone leaders house and their were 8 elders. So we had a party and it was pretty great.
Wednesday: We got up and we skirted to Davenport. I mean we didn't go as fast as our zone leaders I mean they were halling without getting any tiwi(aka the devil) (car thing that makes sure we don't drive dumb)violations. We then got there and we were able to meet President Sturm. He seems like a very likable guy he is a scriptorian and went way in depth in the New Testament so that was way cool. He also said go Aggies over the pulpit so I mean you got to like him for even just saying those two words. It was great also seeing people that I hadn't seen in forever such as Elder Meador, Sister Severe, Elder Barney, Elder Jarvis, and Elder Anderson(the missionary I trained). It was also cool seeing the missionary he is training. Elder Buttcane seems like he will continue on the linage strong. It was also a great time seeing our zone so many cool people in the zone. It was also a little sad because a lot of my companions are going home and so that will mean the majority will be home after this transfer. Also the sisters I came out with are going home so I feel like a really old wise missionary now. So zone conference ended and then we got pictures. Then we drove to Galesburg and went to Bdubs, and we were driving by each other the whole time getting there it was fun. We then ate at B dubs and I saw some summer league action. I then went and saw a person I taught named Butch and let me tell you Butch is getting closer and closer to being baptized. He is one of my favorite people who I have taught. He showed us all his family history that he has been doing. It was a tender mercy that I will be grateful for to be able to see him and talk about old times. We then drove back to Peoria and stayed the night this time with 6 elders and we played Life the game. I lost because they all kept suing me even tho I was a doctor and made more then all of them. Plus the dumb landing places kept wrecking me for example I landed on buy a new house so I bought one then it got hit by a tornado then I bought a yacht and went into some major debt.
Thursday: it was the Fourth of July so we were pretty patriotic today. Let me tell you this one beat last years Fourth of July and honestly felt like a normal 4th other then staying out late. We woke up played some volleyball this time just with missionaries so we were being so sarcastic with all the tips the member told us. For example he always told us to say help when we couldn't hit it . So even when we hit a bad serve we would say help. We then went to a parade and it was sick the patriotism was flowing. We were clapping a lot of the time cause it was veterans and firemen. But there were some funny things in the parade. I mean like there was this hip hop dance team full of girls with this guy in the front doing the cringiest dances. We then chilled at a members house and then drove to the church were we dropped Pekin off at aka Elder Gardner and Elder Steed and then helped Morton sisters change a flat tire so that was fun then we left and headed to Normal-Bloomington and hung with our district so that was cool. We then tried to play risk and ate McDonalds then we called home. And stayed the night in Normal. We watched fireworks from their house. It was a party with Elder Donbrusky and Sharp.
Friday:We left and had to take Elder Hill to the doctor cause he had a bump on his leg. It was diagnosed as folliculitis. Which sounds bad but it just means a infected hair follicle. So we spent the day working and calling our DL and ZLS and telling them he had folliculitis and they all thought it was a legit problem and were concerned.
Saturday: we got in contact with some of our people and ate Pizza Hut .
Sunday: we had church and were able to feel the spirit. Sundays are a pretty slow day if you don't have lessons for some reason. It's also hard to find people on Sunday because everyone is with their families and eating and don't want to be bothered. I also am 17 months out so wahoo
Love y'all
