World war three=chaos+Nauvoo=Spiritual=Spiritual Party

So pretty much this past week we have been at war with a wasps nest right above our door. We were both to cheap to buy wasp killer so we threw rocks at it. Those buggers were mad. I finally bought some spray and we killed a lot of them but we just trying to finish them off

Monday: we played basketball and had lunch with a member and his friend. At this vegetarian place it was wild.  I then called home to find out that my family got another dog. I thought Houston was just teasing me but then when it came out of my moms mouth that's when I knew it was true.

Tuesday: We went to Nauvoo with a family of 8 who are not members. It was cool seeing the Nauvoo Pageant. It is definitely the best play I have seen considering I am not usually a fan of plays. I was also able to see Elder Mather which is a plus. We then watched it the family was intrigued. We answered questions on the way back so that was a good time.

Wednesday: Nothing really happened other then a few try bys.

Thursday:We worked hard and had a district council. Then our zone leaders went to Nauvoo with us. There were some recent converts that went. The pageant teaches the gospel in a fun but informative manner it's pretty great. I just want to see the BritishPageant I have not seen that one yet. But it was a fun time.

Friday: We went on a mini exchange with our zone leaders. I taught a Marseilles family so that was cool. The husband loved basketball . So after we taught him we were able to talk about basketball. I love teaching the gospel but also becoming their friend so they can trust you to teach them the gospel.

Saturday: We stopped by a lot of people and some did not answer, but some did and we were able to connect with a part member family and then meet  a woman named Gene and invited her to come to Nauvoo with us and she agreed. We then went and got Ice cream and then these paramedics were their but then they got called away before their ice cream got there.  So we went and dropped it off for them and taught them a little bit.

Sunday: We went Nauvoo and saw this play that only happens twice a year our story goes on. We brought Gene and it was a great time. She enjoyed it and on the car ride back we talked about the gospel and she wants to go to one of the other Pageants as well. We had a few people at church which is always great. It's been a week of miracles most definitely.

People think they can float+ year in Illinois + fantasy draft= crazy

So a little background I got transferred after serving a transfer in Pontiac I was moved out. My whole zone got picked apart so I was alright with leaving. I got separated from my homie Elder Hill he was a great companion. I was sad that we weren't two transfer comps. It honestly feels like a fantasy football draft our whole mission moved around. President Sturm completely re-did the mission it feels like. But I got sent to a town called Fairfield in Iowa. Let me tell you just straight up Google the Maharishi Management School. They straight up believe they can float. It's pretty wild. They say it's not a religion but people have pictures of these Indian people from like the 1950's it's pretty crazy. Some people thought I was from Ireland and Germany. Well I just told 'em I had a speech impediment. They told me I have my own language so ... #hippies. But it's been pretty wild.

Monday: We went on exchanges I got to be with Elder Sharp in Normal. I was pretty excited it was a fun time. We mobbed around and did some great stuff found some people it was a great time. He is one of my mission homies for sure.

Tuesday: I got told I was going to Fairfield with Elder Critchfield. I was pumped 'cause we already know each other pretty well so that's pretty great. We then went and had lunch with a member. Then we went home and packed all of our stuff. We went and said bye to some families. Then we finished packing. We also cleaned our apartment because our area was being closed for a hot minute.

Wednesday: it was super p day it was a great time we went bowling for days it was pretty sick. We then went back to the church and talked. It was a great time so many members of our zone went STL and ZL so that was cool. I am definitely gonna miss all the members of this zone. It was the best zone I have had in a long time!  We then stayed the night with our zls good old Elder Madsen and Broby . We had a good a time and went to a member who loves Elder Madsen and was so sad he was leaving. Then we went had a good night then slept.

Thursday: I said bye to the the members of the zone and some missonaries who where going home. I am just so grateful that the zone was so tight. I am also super grateful for the impact that so many departing missionaries left on my mission. It was sad to see them go but they definitely deserve to be home. We then had lunch at the mall and then bailed and drove to Fairfield where it was like 108 degrees I hate this Iowa weather tbh.

Friday: We had a district council with the zone so many new people but my zone is pretty awesome now. It was cool meeting the brand new sisters their trainers are cool. And of course getting reunited with Elder Burke and Taylor. It's pretty great I definitely love my zone.

Saturday: Elder Critchfield and another Elder went to a baptism. So I got put into a trio with Elder Sharp and Adam's. We went to Nauvoo and went around and saw so many sites and it's still so amazing. Every time I go I meet people with connections to me. Of course we went to the temple with Elder Adam's baptisms. So I was a witness to a ton of baptisms. I love the temple and look forward to a time I can more regularly attend. We saw the sunset at the Mississippi and then went to the pageant even tho the pageant got cancelled due to a storm. I was so salty, but I hung out all day In Nauvoo so it was worth it. I loved seeing so many missionaries who I am homies with. Driving home we witnessed a crazy storm it was a beauty but kind of sketchy the sky would be pitch Black then the lightning would happen and it would be so colorful.

Sunday: We went to church it was a unique experience being in a ward again. We met someone we are teaching who believes in maharishi stuff so that is pretty interesting but we will get baptized hopefully. We then went to a middle of cornfields and had dinner so it was pretty awesome.

Chick fila +ball+food pantry = good week

Monday: it was p day and let me tell you we went and got Chick- Fila. Then I and Elder sharp balled out 1v1. It was pretty dope I mean we are both are average but it was a close game and I actually felt like I was good at basketball.

Tuesday:  we went to the food pantry and I got myself some meat and some grapes after we did some service for them. They are always super fun and I enjoy doing service for them. We showed up on time and they had already done the truck so we helped them a little bit more.

Wednesday: we went back to the food pantry and helped them move some other stuff and unload another truck. It was pretty great we love helping all the old people and hearing all of their life stories and being able to serve the children of God. It goes to shows how much he really does love each and everyone one of us. We also had a come follow me class that went well. We totally winged it but it went pretty well.

Thursday:We had a district council and it was our last one of the transfer it is always weird how fast those transfers go by. I am starting to realize how much limited time I actually have left. It's a pretty weird feeling and it will probably still get weirder. We then drove back and went to a funeral it was pretty weird cause it was a non members funeral so it was ran like a funeral in our church but no one was religious and it was kind of weird and then it was twenty minutes long only. But it was a good opportunity to be around and we made some impact on a few less actives from Oklahoma.

Friday:We had some fun we did more and tried to contact some people. This town is pretty dead in my past areas in the summer everyone was out walking around or partying and you could easily talking to people. But it's a nice quiet small town so I am not going to complain its definitely expanding our horizon in how to find.

Saturday:  we ended up going to a town called Fairberry which is a pretty decent sized town and went by a few people there and we didn't find anyone interested. We then had a dinner appointment with an old couple and had some good food.  Then we did next weeks come follow me time with them which was great. Also Elder Hill impulse bought five mountain dews because they have the fifty state stuff going on and every time he sees a state he doesn't have he gets giddy and excited.

Sunday:We went to church and that was pretty much it for that day

Overall this week has been pretty slow and stressful. But the things that I have realized is that although most of the week was slow and long and I felt like I was just treading water. I realized the amount of miracles that the Lord was having us do. It definitely was not the way how I wanted my week to go. I definitely wanted to find some more people to teach. But this week was tremendously successful through the amount of service we had done. But I want you guys to know how much the God loves each one of us. I know that he lives and although our weeks or days might not go as we would want. He knows exactly how they should go and we should do our best to count our many blessings.

Love y'all,

America +frogs+the hood=Party

Monday: it was a zone p day so we went down to Peoria!!! Let me tell you I love Peoria.  We got their early and went to Ross, but they didn't have any good stuff. Then we went to Guitar Center where my companion Elder Hill just jammed out. He is from Rigby, Idaho and loves country, but he is also a metal head. It's pretty funny so he jammed for days. We then went to a park that was kind of sketchy and had a water balloon fight which was pretty fun. We also bonded as a zone. We got a pretty real zone to be honest. Most fun zone I have been in forever! We then went and got blizzards and went back to the church. We then started our exchange with our zone leaders. Pretty much we just did some grunt work and Elder Broby and I cleaned their truck and got all the grease out of the trunk. We then met up with Elder Madsen and Elder Hill. We then caught frogs at a nearby pond so that was pretty neat.

Tuesday: The exchange continued and this time we went in the hood of Peoria. Let me tell  you we met some interesting people, and they all like us because we talk about God.  But they don't like their neighbors pretty much everyone told us that. I also met so many people decked out in Cleveland Cavalier gear, but I asked em if they like the cavs and they said naw we LAKERS fans now. In my head I was like bandwagens. We then went to Penn station and it was good but pretty pricey. We finished the day off by washing my car and vacuuming it. We then went and played volleyball. I felt like my skills were just getting wrecked by some competitive members. I felt pitied on so I was like smh. But we then went back to the zone leaders house and their were 8 elders. So we had a party and it was pretty great.

Wednesday: We got up and we skirted to Davenport. I mean we didn't go as fast as our zone leaders I mean they were halling without getting any tiwi(aka the devil) (car thing that makes sure we don't drive dumb)violations. We then got there and we were able to meet President Sturm. He seems like a very likable guy he is a scriptorian and went way in depth in the New Testament so that was way cool. He also said go Aggies over the pulpit so I mean you got to like him for even just saying those two words. It was  great also seeing people that I hadn't seen in forever such as Elder Meador, Sister Severe, Elder Barney, Elder Jarvis, and Elder Anderson(the missionary I trained). It was also cool seeing the missionary he is training.  Elder Buttcane seems like he will continue on the linage strong. It was also a great time seeing our zone so many cool people in the zone. It was also a little sad because a lot of my companions are going home and so that will mean the majority will be home after this transfer. Also the sisters I came out with are going home so I feel like a really old wise missionary now. So zone conference ended and then we got pictures. Then we drove to Galesburg and went to Bdubs, and we were driving by each other the whole time getting there it was fun. We then ate at B dubs and I saw some summer league action.  I then went and saw a person I taught named Butch and let me tell you Butch is getting closer and closer to being baptized. He is one of my favorite people who I have taught. He showed us all his family history that he has been doing. It was a tender mercy that I will be grateful for to be able to see him and talk about old times. We then drove back to Peoria and stayed the night this time with 6 elders and we played Life the game. I lost because they all kept suing me even tho I was a doctor and made more then all of them. Plus the dumb landing places kept wrecking me for example I landed on buy a new house so I bought one then it got hit by a tornado then I bought a yacht and went into some major debt.

Thursday: it was the Fourth of July so we were pretty patriotic today. Let me tell you this one beat last years Fourth of July and honestly felt like a normal 4th other then staying out late. We woke up played some volleyball this time just with missionaries so we were being so sarcastic with all the tips the member told us. For example he always told us to say help when we couldn't hit it . So even when we hit a bad serve we would say help. We then went to a parade and it was sick the patriotism was flowing. We were clapping a lot of the time cause it was veterans and firemen. But there were some funny things in the parade. I mean like there was this hip hop dance team full of girls with this guy in the front doing the cringiest dances. We then chilled at a members house and then drove to the church were we dropped Pekin off at aka Elder Gardner and Elder Steed and then helped Morton sisters change a flat tire  so that was fun then we left and headed to Normal-Bloomington and hung with our district so that was cool. We then tried to play risk and ate McDonalds then we called home. And stayed the night in Normal. We watched fireworks from their house. It was a party with Elder Donbrusky and Sharp.

Friday:We left and had to take Elder Hill to the doctor cause he had a bump on his leg. It was diagnosed as folliculitis. Which sounds bad but it just means a infected hair follicle. So we spent the day working and calling our DL and ZLS and telling them he had folliculitis and they all thought it was a legit problem and were concerned.

Saturday: we got in contact with some of our people and ate Pizza Hut .

Sunday: we had church and were able to feel the spirit. Sundays are a pretty slow day if you don't have lessons for some reason.  It's also hard to find people on Sunday because everyone is with their families and eating and don't want to be bothered. I also am 17 months out so wahoo

Camo sheets featuring abe

Monday: we went to p day and I was able to mob around with the homies. It was a good time we played ball. Of course it was with our district. This is definitely a fun district.  We got pretty lit and it was q good time.

Tuesday: It was my dads birthday. So I was able to call him and tell him happy birthday it was a great day. We also went out with a member and went and talked to less active people so that was dandy and then we had apartment inspections and we passed so. Your Pontiac Pontiac Illinois elders are just the best. The senior couple that did it are based out of my "birth area" in the mission Macomb. They were also from Preston Idaho so we talked about the Aggies and cache valley.

Wednesday: We were feeling inspired and so we started walking down this street. It was great in Illinois people try to steal Abe Lincoln from Kentucky. So if Abe Lincoln was in any town for at least five minutes or any place they mark it . So we found a house that Abe Lincoln had chilled at for a reception. So of course yours truly had to get a picture in front of it. We also went down the street and felt inspired to knock a door and we did. The lady opened up and said thank you for waking me up from my nap I got go to a ball game. So I guess she wasn't going to wake up so the Lord sent us to wake her up.

Thursday: Thursday is still for the boys. We had breakfast with a family and it was good. The older gentleman that we ate with is a funny guy he is the one that works with us a lot. He showed us his five donkeys.  The donkeys were pretty cool. The member asked us what the donkeys name was in Shrek. We replied donkey and he kept on asking the same question because he thought we were just saying donkey lol. Then we mobbed to district council which was pretty lit. We got there early so we played some pros ball with the ZLS @eldermadsen. Elder Madsen and I choked it was sad. But d council was cool. Then we went to red Robin with the zone so that was great. We ate some good food. There was boomerang and live pd on so we saw some of that good stuff. We saw the old Scooby Doo TV show and we were all so happy. I will say tho red Robin has flame fries. We then started our exchange with our dl and his comp @eldersharp. I went with the stud himself Elder Donbrosky. We had some fun but nothing much happened other then getting Casey's pizza and showing them the prison. We had a fun night just chilling.

Friday: We finished our exchange. But I will say we were passing a soccer ball and the guy elder sharp had butterfingers and dropped it and it hit glass light  that was was just sitting there and it shattered it was the funniest thing ever. We then went about our day. Also I had been sleeping with now sheets so I finally had a enough and so I went to Walmart to buy some sheets and I saw these camo sheets and I was like everyone who knows me will think this is funny and I was like I'll never be able to do something so dumb again. So I bought the camo sheets and I have sheets now. I also now have a joke for the rest of my mission. The Badgers also went home so that was sad.  It was weird cause we all knew stuff was different.

Saturday:  we went to a town called Odell and met with a person to talk to her about her grandmothers funeral and stuff and schedule some stuff with her. That was pretty much what happened on Saturday.

Sunday: I gave a killer talk about how to let the holy ghost guide. It was a super cool talk and I definitely enjoyed talking. I also felt it was the best talk of my mission.
