Brrr Did I Get Called to Antartica?

To start of this week we did pretty much nothing on Monday and that was our p day.

Tuesday: we did morg (Mormon Organization time to read church news) and DLP (District Leader Prep) and we basically knocked some doors, but nothing really happened. We also went to McDonald's.

Wednesday: We went out and we knocked and we threw snow at each other in between knocking. We also found the world's largest child playground that we had ever seen it was so cool so you know we went and checked it out. It was also district council and I won an award "Missionary of the Year". It was so so so lit then we went to Five Guys and I always get blindsided  by how expensive it is. That was pretty much our day.

Thursday: My awesome technology skills I built a Facebook page for basketball which is a cool missionary opportunity and we always have non members there so it is just so wonderful. I used my marketing skills to create the page. It is by far one of the coolest online proselyting  things that I have ever done. Then we went and played ball it's been super cool getting to know the ball homies. I was ballin I couldn't just shoot the ball so I was balling crazily good except for my shot haha.

Friday: We dropped a ton of people so you already know we went knocking for days. It was pretty great nothing really happened Friday. We went and we knocked and we found a super cool guy named Brett. He had just retired from the army and he fixed Blackhawk helicopters and had a dope dog named dude which was a pit Huskey. It was way cool he was down.

Saturday:We went and shoveled a widow in the wards driveway and then we went to the middle of nowhere town. And shoveled less active driveways and other random people to try to get them to talk to us. We also went by a few people none of them were home so rip.

Sunday: was pretty cray cray so Iowa is getting wrecked with crazy cold temperature because of that we got told we were grounded on Tuesday and Wednesday hence wrecking our transfer calls and super p day. So they decided to call us Sunday night and I was told I was staying and i will be getting Elder Littlefield which will be fun. Church and dinner was super cool to. I did something amazing last night our lesson I related the gospel of Jesus Christ to Shaq and Kobe parable that I helped create down in the MTc. Haha that was pretty much my week.

Love y'all

John Deere

Monday: Monday was super cool we went to a John Deere Factory where they made sprayers and cotton picker machines. It was way cool.  Half of the factories are from the forties for making ammunition for WWII. They've kept everything pretty nice though. It was also pretty cool getting to see them get put together so that was neat. They also showed us the tractors getting painted in that iconic John Deere Green. The tour guides were way funny, they were two old guys that just loved John Deere so much. They were pretty entertaining. We could not take pictures because in the past people have taken pictures of engineers computers and other secret stuff. We then went to Culver's for lunch it was pretty good and not much really happened.

Tuesday: We just went by people and we dropped some people who were not that solid so that was nice. So we can focus on the people that we are teaching.

Wednesday : we had district council and went to Wendy's and bonded as a district I guess. We then did some knocking. Funny story was we went by someone we were teaching and she wasn't home. So we decided we would go to the store and run into her with a member. But Elder York was like we need to make sure she is there so he called the place which is Menards (midwest home depo/grocery store) and then she answered so he talked to her about cabinets in a really cringy way. Then we went and ran into her it was alright.

Thursday: Elder York was sick so we pretty much did nothing. But we did find out who our new mission president will be. It is definitely super weird knowing I will get a mission president with around  7 months left . We listened to one of the new mission presidents talks on BYU Idaho Devotionals and it was cool. We then went to the church so we could get out of the apartment.  So I went and played some basketball with some non members and the YSA elders.

Friday:Not much happened.

Saturday: This week it has gotten so cold. It is the worst the windchill is so bad legitimately you have to layer up. On a doorstep my face was getting so stiff so it has been crazy. I am just glad Its not any colder. It is a good day when it is 25 degrees and even then it is probably 15 degrees with the humidity and windchill.

Sunday: We went to church in the cold it was good we then came back and studied it was pretty awesome.  Then we worked the rest of the day . We have an hour to read come follow me. That is so put together it is a way good study guide. We then did comp study.  Love you all sorry for the lack of pictures.

Notes from Mom
Yesterday night I received a text with a couple pictures of Caylor. The members of the church in this are are great and will occasionally send me pictures and I LOVE it.  Caylor had dinner with a family and they sent me some pictures. They said he is awesome and they are happy he is serving in their area.

He also has a very talented companion named Elder York, who drew this amazing character sketch of Caylor. It is like he lives with him 24/7 and he drew a very accurate cartoon of Elder Hunsaker.

Bill Clinton Got Cut on the Edge

Well to start off this week was pretty fun it was one of those weeks that went by fast but took forever.

Monday: We just chilled for the first half then people showed up and we had a good time.

Tuesday: It was zone conference so I got to go to Des Moines zone conference. It is the first zone conference of the week so I feel like it was way better trainings because they weren't burnt out of their trainings. It was good catching up with Elder Anderson and some other elders. It was such a party. It was kind of funny Elders were just walking up to me and saying when are we going to be companions. The funny thing is I barley knew some of them but it was pretty great. We then went to a zone dinner at a place called Jethros it was alright it wasn't worth the money though. Then we pretty much went home and went to sleep.

Wednesday : Pretty much not a lot happened. We pretty much just knocked it was so pretty average.

Thursday: We went to B Dubs with our zone leaders and got some 65 cent wings. We also saw the Campbell Camels playing it was so funny that I even recognized that team. Their court was pretty awesome. Then the truly exciting part is we went to Thursday night ball with some non members and the zone leaders and let me tell you. Elder Scoresby who is playing college basketball at USU Eastern taught me some defensive tricks and so I was way awesome on defense and then my shot was on which was rare but it was so great cause I was playing good ball and the people that went asked some gospel questions. Which I was glad to answer.

Friday : So today nothing much happened other then we went to a dinner and they asked me what I like and I said sports and then they said ok and then asked me if I knew classical music and of course I don't . So then the conversation was pretty much dead and there were like two older couples and one of their kids with their grandkids. But they were talking about Bill Clinton and I said sarcastically who is Bill Clinton to Elder York and then they all gave me the dirtiest look and then went on talking about politics and it was way awkward. But the food was good .

Saturday:  well to begin today off we got out went by a few people and then went to McDonalds and then we went and took these tag pics that my mom wanted me to take and it just so happens to be Elder York is a mad Photographer. So we found this old train track that has been turned into a biking path. Longs story short we got the pictures and then I was teasing Elder York I was like bruh were is your name tag ? And he was like o no. So then we went on a wild goose chase to find it. And then we saw on one of the pictures I took of him his tag was falling and then we saw a the little side walk get plowed and we like good thing that plow did not ruin our pictures. Then we figured out he lost his tag then went to a place we knocked earlier and then McDonalds and then we saw the picture where the tag fell and then we went back to the bike trail. It was kind of funny so we went back and started digging with a shovel and the ice scraper in our car . So we spent like 2 hours looking for his tag we did not have any look, but oh well. Also it snowed and it was pretty crazy.

Sunday: Just good ole church and it was good. The ward council was the nicest ward council I have ever been to. Everyone was so nice . We then did not have any luck knocking so then we went to try by some dude but his apartment number was not their so we knocked a door and found this guy who is down for the gospel. We then had a dinner with a super cool family and one of their daughters just chose to go to Utah State so that was cool.

Monday : We are going to a John Deere factory so I am pretty excited. It will be so awesome. So if I don't email back for an hour or two i am at the tour.

Also RIP Villiage Inn the one in Logan closed and now the one in Ankeny closed .

Kangaroo Jack

Well to begin this week it was pretty fun. The whole reason behind the title Kangroo Jack is because Elder York and I just talked a lot about it this week it was pretty neat. We then were chilling in Wendy's and a few songs that are on Kangroo Jack came on #tendermercies. So we were singing "Soak up the Sun" for like a week.

Monday: it was our p day and it was pretty cool we really didn't do much but we emailed at a library and they did a ball drop the most unclimatic thing of my life haha. We then went and chilled and relaxed at the church that was pretty much that. When we got grounded at 6 we ordered pizza cause we were like it's new years let's treat ourself.

Tuesday: We ended up waking up and going to Walmart and target to get me some shaving cream. We were instructed not go proselyting. So we then went to Des Moines and had lunch with the Badgers and other missionaries. It was super cool getting to chill with some missionaries that I knew and get to know some other ones. It had been a while since I was in the mission home. Then our lit Stake President invited the whole Des Moines stake missionaries to his house so that was like 2 zones of missionaries. The stake president is such a nice dude, plus he agave us all pizza and soda. We then met a dude who talked about Northern Utah and knew who Abraham Hunsaker was that was pretty crazy.

Wednesday: We ended up going on exchanges with the zone leaders. I got to go with my trainer Elder Larsen and we had a blast like the good old days. Since he is in the YSA he has a giant area. So we were down in Aimes driving and I was like who is walking on the side in the middle of the winter. And it ended up being Elder Anderson and his companion we gave them a ten minute ride and caught up with them and later found out that they would have had to walk that so that was crazy. We then had a lesson with a dude who believes we didn't land on the moon and he is a flat earther. And he went on and on about how the Bible supports it. We pretty much just testified of it haha

Thursday: I said bye to Elder Larsen cause they went and dropped him off at the mission home. Its definitely a weird feeling having your trainer go home. I am definitely glad we got to do one last exchange before he went home. It's too bad he's going to the forsaken school. That's pretty much what happened on Thursday. We also taught one of our people and had a super awesome lesson with her about the importance to give up coffee and how it can bless her life.

Friday: We did some weekly planning it was good. We went by some people and it was 50 degrees it was pretty wild.

Saturday: We were knocking an apartment complex and realized they put coupons on all these closet doors so we grabbed a few of them. We also then started the 23 day challenge were we will get Little Ceasers a lot cause of all the coupons we got. We also saw an air hockey table in the dumpster so you already know we wiped it down and are going to fix it and then play some air hockey. We also met this parole Officer who had the most souped up Dodge Charger that I have ever seen it was way way cool.

Sunday: We went to church it was pretty weird not having the third hour cause we had to plan an extra hour which was cool.  We met a couple from Lindon, Utah Traveling to Indiana in Sacrament meeting though. It was pretty dope . We then went to a member dinner and it was pretty crazy and had good food. We then went to the middle of nowhere and talked to farmers on a pig farm and let me tell you they are probably one of the most normal people I have met on my mission. The guy was super nice we talked for a while about the NFL ,dogs and pigs . It took me a while to get to an Iowa Pig Farm, but I did lt.

Love y'@ll
