Well to begin Tuesday night the General Authority that came was Jeffery R Holland I thought he was going to roast us like he did with my dad when he went to Australia. He did not and he shared some great insight such as how missionaries are basically Apostles with a lower case a and he is an Apostle with a capital A. He also shared that our investigators and church members think we are perfect and that we need to live up to it. Overall his talk was so awesome. We also said goodbye to missionaries going to Independence Missouri they were all a great group and I consider myself lucky to be able to get to know them. On Wednesday the district before us left so that was very weird basically nothing happened other than we taught our investigators and went to class. While we were walking to the class room after a meeting with a investigator, we walked past a group of people taking a tour of the MTC. In that group were two little boys that waved at us. I waved back smiling at them because I realized that I was being an example and how Elder Holland put it we were probably assumed perfect by those little boys. On Thursday one of the Elders came up with a parable called the Shaq and Kobe parable which the whole zone of elders used in our trcs aka teaching our investigators. In this parable we are like Kobe always shooting up shots some going in some not going to go in, but shaq is like Jesus and will always get the rebound and dunk it to make up for the missed shot. Lol we all used it and it was successful in all of the scenarios that it was used in. On Friday we finished up with our investigator Andrew we had him for two weeks which is rare and we committed him to be baptized.(most of the trcs are members) it still felt good and we loved getting to know him. On Saturday we finished with Trevor who we only had one week with he definitely was such a cool dude he gave us NBA updates and after the Shaq and Kobe parable we committed him to baptism as well. On Sunday we basically had church all day which is kind of nice it wasn’t that eventful in all honesty other then we as a district went to the temple grounds. On Monday we finished up our classes for one last time which for most of the sisters it was tough on, but I am just ready to eat real food and get to Iowa. One teacher came into the room who served in Iowa and he said he heard gunshots in Davenport and Cedar Rapids so that’s fun haha. We also had a killer lesson Monday night on people that want to bible bash us. It was good cause it set some doctrine straight that some people did not believe me. This morning we had to wake up early, and go to the temple for a 5:40 session which was cool. Overall this week has gone by so fast and soon I’ll be the baby again, but I look forward to being thrown into Iowa. I love and miss all of you so much and hope that all of you are doing great.
Love
