Tuesday:, it was Christmas eve we really didn't do much other then relaxed. We had a dinner with our bishop and it was fun seeing all the different festivities and traditions other family's do. Then we went and played basketball with a few members and I played pretty well. Elder Powell and I then had the best Christmas eve of the mission.
Wednesday: We opened our presents early in the morning then went to sleep. we then woke up to a call to go give a member a blessing and so went and gave a blessing and pranked the sisters in our zone that we were in the hospital it was pretty funny. We then talked to our family's for like 15 minutes and then got a call from some sisters saying their tires had been slashed on three of the four mission vehicles there. So we went down there to put the donut tires on. They all thought it was funny and weren't to upset about it. We then went to a dinner and was able to relax and chill with members and then we came back and I was able to talk to my family. Which was great and I was even able talk to Brodie for maybe the last time on my mission.
Thursday: Not much really happened just a normal day in the life of a missionary.
Friday: I woke up early to get ready and to go to Nauvoo for what we call a sprint meeting. Basically it was just a meeting to to encourage us the last six weeks of our mission to leave it all out here. It was a great meeting definitely feel like it was inspired and enjoyed the four hour drive there with all the elders playing bean boozed and all of us about puked it was a great time. We then were able to go do an endowment session. The spirit of temple is so great. It was definitely super bitter knowing that this would be the last time as a missionary I stood in this holy house. It was also super bitter sweet being in Nauvoo one last time as a missionary. So many p days there so many temple trips there so many times we saw the pagent. It was all so bitter sweet. The meeting also was super reflective in my mind. It has definitely shown me how much I have loved my mission. I have loved it so much and I look forward to giving 110% for the last 6 weeks. We then had dinner at a Mexican place in Fort Madison and then drove back we got home at 11 but it was way worth it sleeping in my own bed.
Saturday: We did some less active work and we had a district council. Elder lowell gave a super good one. Then we had a dinner then went and delivered a bench to Eldet Thomas. I also did some studying about the church acquiring the historic sites in Palmyra for some reason and i really enjoyed it.
Sunday: We had church a linger longer and then we had come follow me time it was super great I enjoyed it .
Love y'all
