The cousin almost ko'd me

Aye so this week we found out that we are staying together so that is super fun and exciting.

Monday: It was a neat day.  We did some work it was pretty great.  But low key pretty uneventful.

Tuesday: It was transfer calls and we ended up helping a family move so that was pretty fun. We moved a lot of stuff and then ate some food. We then went back and did some work and then we went and played basketball. We also ate dinner with a family at this place called jethros and it was actually pretty good the first time I went there in Ankeny it was not good at all I hated it it but it must of been just what I got cause it was soooooo good.

Wenesday:  We woke up and got a call from the mission nurse that a sister was sick and in the hospital so we went and ministered to them it was a great time. I know my way around mercy in des Moines.  was our super p day so we got together with the members of the zone it was great. It was a good time seeing my good buddy elder Stokes.

Thursday: it was transfers so it was just a normal work day for us. We went and got lunch then we helped a lady move some boxes. Then we went to Winterset Iowa  with A companionship in our zone and went and taught a lesson and played some basketball in a barn with some teenagers it was actually pretty fun. Fun fact John Wayne is from Winterset Iowa . Haha you all thought Iowa didnt have anything #wrongwegotjohnwayneanddarrensprollesandkurtwarner

Friday: it was a get to know you district council. It was pretty good meeting the new zone everyone is training other then us and the stls it was a pretty fun day. For Lunch we went to panda Express and the lady messed up with my food and it ended up all the food in the bag instead of the box so that was low key sad.

Saturday:  That morning we did morning  sports and elder Powell kicked the soccer ball and I was trying to defend the goal and so I used my head which was a mistake because it hit my nose  and it started bleeding. Well I thought I was a stud so I put some tissue in my nose and went back out there but then it just kept bleeding so I was sidelined so that was sad. But all is well because now I have a cool Bruise on my nose. ( it bled for like 25 minutes)We went by some people and got lost because here in iowa is being people do not know how to number houses. But it was a pretty good day. We then did a companionship study with some elders in  our zone and it was good meeting them it was pretty fun 

Sunday:  So at church we have this twin boys that come to church all the time that we are teaching and they are named chase and chance  but I can't  tell them apart but they are just just straight savages they roast Elder Powell and I left and right and it's soooo funny . We had some other meetings and that was pretty much our sunday we were just running around going to meeting to meeting.

Monday: it was alright we had pretty decent p day and then we had a member dinner that went well.

Tuesday: The highlights of Tuesday where going to dinner and establishing a mission plan with ward mission leader and it was pretty great we ate at blaze pizza with him and it was fun and way productive.

Wednesday: I had exchanges with with Elder Lowell who is 6,6. We went around and went by some less actives and then walked around and we found a boonie mall where we tried to proselyte but that did nor work as well as we wanted to. It was fun trying to open up new finding ideas. We then had a member dinner and it was a young cool couple from Ogden who made awesome burgers. 

Thursday:  We went by some more less actives and then we had dinner with a member at olive garden it was pretty neat. We also were driving people around because a ton of people needed a ride.

Friday,: We had district council and then we were running around because I had to do two baptismal interviews. The first one was an African lady and we had some small talk and I could not understand anything but as I asked the questions i could perfectly understand her so the gift of tongues is real! The other one was a lady named Jackie and she had a cat and it was so cool to see how both of them had transformed their lives to be more in line with Jesus Christ.

Saturday: We were able to see those two lady's get baptized because we invited our whole teaching pool and one of them barley missed the baptism by 5 minutes so that was sad. We then went and helped a lady move some boxes and then we were able to do some weekly planning and then went and gave a blessing.

Sunday: We had church and it was a great day cause it was Brodie's birthday. We went by some people and then lol we talked to some Baptist missionaries kinda funny Haha.

Monday: We went bowling and lets just say I scored a solid 22. Lol that's way bad I guess my bowling skills have completely rotted. But the rest of the day we hung out and had a pretty great p day. We also ate panda Express cause it was by the bowling Alley

Tuesday We had MLC it was pretty long, but It was great. It was pretty good seeing some of the other leaders and being able to catch up with them. We then drove back and had some Arby's and I had some sliders. We then went and played basketball with some non members.

Wednesday: We had a DLC which is basically where we tell our district leaders what happened at mlc 

Thursday: I  had exchanges with Elder Thomas and he is super fun we went and helped some sisters in our zone and then we helped a family move and then were fed pizza.

Friday: We got back from Waukee and it was a good time we then helped the sisters rake some leaves and we were also able to eat panda Express with the homies so that was a good time.

Saturday: We had interviews and was trained on how to use the light the world teaching people. The videos where super cool and we were even able to see the Christ Child before it is released the 24th and let me just say it was pretty good so I encourage all of you to get involved in light the world because it will be easier then ever and probably will have more of a effect on people.

Sunday: We just had a bunch of meetings it was pretty long.

Monday: Was p day it was a pretty good day we went to good ole Jimmy John's and then went and chilled at the church.

Tuesday: Zone conference with Elder Wong. He is a member of the 70 and let's just say when a 70 gets sent to your mission there's a 95% chance that you will get rebuked for something. Highlights of zone conference he endorsed Rambo and he called some elder you dumb Elder! It was way funny. He also taught us how to teach in parables. And basically said we were not baptizing enough.

Wednesday: it was missionary leadership council so I had the privilege to drive all the way to Davenport but we road tripped it up with The Des Moines ZLs and The Ames ZLs. We drove to Ames then Iowa city had lunch at chick filet and then drove to Davenport. Elder Wong then went over ways to teach with parables and basically told us to be super bubbly and like Disney channel dramatic. He also told us we should be baptizing 16× more people. We baptize around 250 a year and he wants us to be at 400 year so almost double. He then did a lot of math to prove it. He joked about him being Chinese of him being good at math. Elder Powell and I both had no idea what was going on with the math #watchoutcollege.  He also taught us more on teaching with parables so that was great. We then drove back to ic and spent the night with the APs ,Des Moines and Ames. It was cool chilling with Elder Mortenson who is from the same town I am and he graduated from the same high school.

Thursday: There was snow on the ground and we drove back. It was a pretty good time if I am being honest.  We also dropped some members off some cookies we made.

Friday: We helped a family move and it took a while but it was pretty fun. We then went to McDonald's. 

Saturday: We went and helped set up the church for Stake Conference. We then had a lesson that went well and tried by some less actives and non members it was a pretty successful day!

Sunday: It was Stake conference it was cool. We then planned and then had dinner with the bishop.
