Almost Broken Ankles and Thanksgiving

Well to start out this week on Monday we went down to Canton and played some football with two sets of elders it was pretty fun.

Tuesday: We went and knocked and stuff so that was good nothing really came from it but we kept on grinding throughout the week.

Wednesday: We went to district council haha. Then the mans himself Elder Critchfield injured his ankle and his comp couldn't drive so we went on emergency exchanges haha so I drove him to the hospital that was lit and saw some of the Duke and Gonzaga game. He didn't break it so he just sprained it so we chilled and played Mario kart monopoly.  It was pretty awesome.

Thursday: it was Thanksgiving so the other pair went to Galesburg and ate at the two appointments and Elder Critchfiled and I stayed in Kewanne and then came over to Galesburg after the dinner appointment. It was good we ate some food and then went to Walmart in Galesburg to try to find him some wrap for his ankle we completely blanked that it was Black Friday and we were in there and saw a sign we both laughed and then looked around for the stuff but couldn't find it.

Friday: we had a quad blitz and they all came early so we stopped by some stores and then ate lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings and then we went and did some missionary work. Elder Burke and I found some people and so did a few other people. It was pretty sick. We played board games at night it was fun.

Saturday: we finished  exchanges and then went and knocked a whole apartment complex we found so many people with potential I hope that we can get some of them baptized. It was super cool all the effort we have been putting in was seen by the lord and he helped us find these people.

Sunday: we went to church and found a new person at church it was pretty sick he is way solid so he should get baptized. We also got snowed in last night because the snow was pretty bad.

Monday: We still snowed in haha 

I'll leave y'all with a thought you know if you guys have a friend's who are not of the faith invite them to church you never know what is going to happen because rarely will they say no disrespectfully. I have seen so many people come to church some of em come again and again some of them don't but they always will have that seed planted.

The Plague

Well this week started out last Monday we played some ball and went back and had some dinner with an awesome family so that was pretty cool.

Tuesday: Elder Anderson felt a little sick but we went out and had an exchange with Elder Harvey and Elder Smith.  It was pretty cool Elder Harvey and I went to all these little small towns and accidentally knocked into some members those are the worst cause there are some active members and then some who think they are active but they just go to church on Easter and Christmas.  We then had dinner with a member who is the branch president of another group of elders and then we all stayed the night in Canton and it was fun we played Mario Kart Monopoly and then went and got some beverages and chilled for the rest of the night. 

Wednesday: I went to Iowa City with Elder Harvey for a doctor's appointment it was like 15 minutes long and in total we drove like 4 hours it was pretty crazy but we did get gas at the worlds largest truck stop we didn't go in cause we didn't have time to actually go in.  Then we had district council and that was pretty much the end of our day cause Elder Anderson was dead.

Thursday-Friday: Elder Anderson was dead so we pretty much just stayed in after talking to the mission nurse. Also it snowed it was super cold and not a lot of people know how to slow down.lol

Saturday: We got up and we found some solid people that we will go by this next week it was pretty awesome. It was a pretty great day it was cold but we were hyped so it didn't really matter how cold we were.

Sunday: Well I blessed the sacrament the first time in 9 months so that was pretty crazy. The last time I did that was in the MTc. And elder Anderson gave an awesome talk in church. We found some more people after church it was pretty great. We also had a dinner appointment with a family and they found out elder Anderson watched some Barbie movies (that's justified cause he has a little sister) But this is where it gets funny he actually likes them so the members were roasting him about it luckily we are pretty tight with that family so we both thought it was funny.

It's Snowing Unicorns

Well this week it has been snowing which is super weird because when I left for the MTC it was snowing so that's way funny that it has been 9 months. 

Monday: we went on a quad blitz in Peoria it was pretty lit Elder Shields and I went to the most ghetto part of Peoria  and it was awesome we found a ton of people and did some laundry for free at our zone leaders apartment. Then we went to the gym that our zone leaders have and Elder Shields fell so I laughed but he recovered last minute and then I fell and got the air knocked out of me it killed me it was so painful plus I got so muddy so haha.

Tuesday: it was transfer calls but Elder Anderson and I are staying together so I am super excited about that. We went to B Dubs and had a great time and got updated with the zone changes and the sports world which is always good.  We then came back and we knocked.

Wednesday: We went down to Peoria for p day and we played some basketball and I played the best ball of my mission, but my team ended up losing I was so mad. 

Thursday: it was transfers so we woke up and did studies then we got a call that some of our district was driving through Galesburg so we had lunch with them it's a brand new missionary Elder Stokes and his companion Elder Mather they are both awesome guys my trainee picked like the most expensive Mexican restaurant to eat at. And then we went to Walmart with them cause they don't have Walmart. We then found some people.

Friday: we had district council and it was super busy and then went to Kewanne for exchanges to help Kewanne out. Elder Mather and I knocked a lot, but then a lot of people were just saying no but Elder Mather and I found this guy who was saying the f bomb about how cold it was. We then played some Risk and I lost. 

Saturday: we ended up coming home and did studies that was pretty much it.

Sunday: we did church and ended up studying then going to a dinner lol.

Monday: I got my haircut from a long lost less active who I don't think wants to be found and now we are playing ball. But I got Fire House Subs for lunch and apparently there is a dill pickle shortage oh no.

Well the Monday we played some good p day ball and my companion wrecked my day lol. We were playing ball with the zone and my comp comes out of the middle of no where and screens me hardcore. I am totally fine but it was just way funny cause he felt so bad but everyone but him thought I flopped so smh but he knew how hardcore the screen was. We then came back and had some dinner with YSA who played a live clue game it was pretty sick if I do admit.we just ate their food and then came back and did a some training 

Tuesday: Tuesday we knocked some and we were trying to find all these people. But it was beggars night ( some excuse in Iowa for people to get drunk) which isn't a thing in Illinois but like most of my mission is in Iowa so lol. So we had to go to a dinner appointment out of town at like 4:30 It was super good and then we had to speed back to our apartment. We basically cleaned our house and o man it was so clean. 

Wednesday: It was Halloween we got up did our studies and then had a lesson with a excommunicated member. But before that our district leader Elder Harvey called just to chat cause it was during lunchtime. So we joked with him to have an exchange cause we had to be in by six and so we could hangout with them. And we went to our lesson and then got a text that we were going to have to be home in 20 minutes to be there when they got here. So I got elder smith and we all car pulled down to this ghetto street and we started knocking at about at 5 o clock we saw some people tricker treating so we just left but some people gave us candy and came to the door looked at us and laughed cause they grabbed candy and then they said I know who you guys are you are the mormons. We then drove home and then got Little Caesars ate the pizza and played some trivia pursuit from 1995 and then played some monopoly which I won two games so I am the goat . We also talked about video games all night it was good.

Thursday: we did some knocking and had dinner it was good we also went and bought some Christmas lights cause our other ones burnt out. We also played this game at 9 that I had bought called NFL showdown it's pretty much. It's pretty much you have a offense and defensive plays it's basically like the board game of madden.

Friday: We had district council down in Canton and that was fun we then had taco bell and talked about video games which was pretty fun. We then came back and I got some mail from the mission office and I opened it and to my delight it was a driving USB that I had to watch to save my privileges as my vehicle coordinator said I am not a bad a driver I just need to drive more like a old lady. So my privileges are safe. We then went knocking and then at 9 o clock we played some more NFL showdown. 

Saturday: we went to do some service moving ac units, but little did we know it would end up doing that plus digging potatoes and then laying some gravel down for this old woman's drive way. I was legit in the middle of nowhere and basically everyone who knows me well enough knows that I am pretty big town boy so like this was new to me, not so much the gravel laying down but the potato digging was way weird. We then came back they bought us some lunch and we had KFC and then went out knocked. We also got some dope pics out in the middle of nowhere  

Sunday: we had this broadcast which was cool we ate some lunch and then we went out and knocked and then we tried by some people and let's just say we ended up dropping a ton of people but we kept on praying we would find someone even though it was dark and everyone in the midwest goes to sleep at about 6 o clock when the sun goes down so we went by a former and we ended up making him a new person God really does perform miracles on the daily for us. I would like to invite all of you to make a list of the little tender mercies that happens in your day and I promise all of you will feel God's love more every day and you will be able to be more in tune with the spirit 

Monday: Elder Anderson And I woke up and listened to saints and then we will head off for an exchange today. P day will Wednesday this week.
