TOPEKA not Topeka, Kansas Though

Well to start off this week we were in Galesburg again for p day and we went and got some Buffalo Wild Wings and it was way cool I got to see some of rerun of the Jazz game when they played the Warriors and they look super good . We also saw some NFL and college news, which was cool. Then we went and balled, and I barely lost to Elder Anderson his ball skill is way close to mine so we always have super close games.

Tuesday: We knocked today and pretty much nothing happened but we had a dinner appointment which was cool the family was really cool the husband works on the railroad which is big in galesburg and his wife loved talking about rock bands so that was pretty cool.

Wednesday:  we knocked and we were like we are going to find some people we sadly didn't find anyone but we were moving around town to find people.

Thursday: We went down to have a triple blitz in a little town called Havana, Illinois and it was pretty fun. I went with my district leader and we car pulled with another set of elders and we went and knocked all these towns in like a day because of how small they are. It was pretty awesome. The first town we were in was Topeka and we knocked it in 20 minute no one was interested except for one person who actually lives in Peoria. We then went to another town and then half of us had to go to the bathroom so the town was so small it didn't even have a gas station. So we tracked into the wilderness where a park was and we went and looked inside the park bathroom, and all I have to say about that is it had so many spiders that we went to a town over with a gas station and knocked. Elder Harvey and I found another person which was awesome.  We then went back and had dinner and then had a Mcflurry at the worlds smallest McDonalds and partied

Friday: We finished exchanges and went down to district council which was good. Then went to Wendy's as a district which was good. We then came back and went to dinner appointments and talked about how the book of mormon could be in the like north america which was super cool. And then we weekly planned.

Saturday:We drove down to Peoria and we went to stake conference the adult session I missed like half of it because I had to be outside the bathroom cause my comp was dying but I watched the rest of it. President and sister Badger spoke and I hope that helped the stake missionary efforts. But then us and another companionship went to stake and shake at like 8 and let's just say it took em an hour in a half to get us our food so we got back to the zone leaders apartment way late and then we got swole and went to their little gym that reminds me of a hotel gym.

Sunday: we went to the other session and so many people where asleep I thought it was so funny and then came home took lunch and then went and knocked until dinner which was good it's always way fun to have a dinner with the Sevnys. Which was way good . Then we had a comp study.  We also found out about Utah State getting in the rankings so we were pumped. My companion is also an Aggie so we make up the minority in the mission so we can brag now.

Today we basically went shopping and did some laundry

IDDM Globetrotters

Well to start off this email the title is way funny to me but probably to you normal people who have access to all the good memes it might not be. Well to start off this week we had p day nothing really happens at our p days anymore last transfer they were awesome, but now they are not as entertaining plus we get wrecked on miles lol.

Tuesday: we went finding it was a long day with no success but it's just part of the missionary grind. You just gotta keep with it and then you will be blessed for it later.

Wednesday: We got up and we drove to the one and the only city called Iowa City for a new trainers meeting. It was way fun we got to see all the new missionaries and their trainers it was good seeing some people that we don't see a lot so that was way cool. Plus seeing President and Sister Badger is always super cool. We then went and had lunch at the Iowa City mall I have not been in a mall for forever so i was mindboggled by it. Plus its huge so that was pretty crazy. We ate our lunch and the. Elders that we were going to on exchanges with told us that they had a lesson planned and they had to go. So we had some time to kill before we had to get down to Fort Madison so we went to the University Of Iowa football stadium it was way awesome just like on TV the hospital is legit right above the stadium. We also saw some football players( my knowledge of finding them up at USU) it was way awesome. It also reminded me of college which is cool but the funny thing is I was in college like 10 months ago. We then drove down to fort Madison and didn't really do anything cause it was already late.

Thursday: I went on a exchange with a missionary who Is being trained and Elder Anderson went with his trainer. It was a brutal day nothing really happened and then that night The tech elders also stayed the night so I was able to get to know them

Friday:it was the day of zone conference it was way good to see everyone and to be in Nauvoo again Nauvoo is seriously one of the coolest places. We had zone conference and president talked about me in it about my love for sports. So that was way cool. And then it was way cool seeing all the people I missed and hadn't seen in forever. We then drove to Burlington and had dinner there it was way awesome we saw some of the celtics game and Hayward looked like more of a twig then when I last saw him. And Kyrie has the most wack hair style. We then went and got gas and everyone needed to get gas so we all went and got gas. One of the sisters fell out of her car at the gas station and some guy was telling us that we have like 10 moms.
Saturday: Elder Anderson was sick so we didn't do anything.
Sunday: We went to church and did all of our studies and then we ended up going to dinner and that was like our whole day.

Today we are staying in Galesburg and doing laundry its way fun.

Love,

Blessings = McDonalds

So to start of this week on Monday we had our p day down in Galesburg (too low miles). So we went shopping and then went to this pizza buffet called Pizza Ranch my trainee Elder Anderson then saved my life cause I about ate salad with walnuts on them. So he is a legend for that. Then we basically emailed and then we went and balled at the church and the best thing about this is my horrible basketball skills beat elder Anderson he was so mad but it was way funny.

Tuesday: Tuesday we went by someone we are teaching named Heidi and she believe some priest to be a prophet but she believes Joseph Smith and the book of Mormon to be true. So without any hesitation we testified of modern day prophets and how miracles are free and nobody should have to pay for any miracles. Then we got a referral in the middle of  no where and we called them and they said come here today and so we got a member to drive us to this town, it was legit like 50 miles away and the member is this old guy who about crashed like three times it was sketchy and then he started texting and driving and Elder Anderson and I feared for our lives.

Wednesday  We had to get up and go give a blessing to a man in a different stake than us and it was really cool I felt the spirit so strongly and so did my companion.  We then went and did our after blessing ritual and went to McDonald's and got breakfast after it. We really did nothing expect try to find and we ended up cooking dinner and we cooked some potatoes and I put too much salt in them so we ate salty potatoes it was pretty funny.

Thursday: We had exchanges in a town called Canton and we found two people and my companion and the other elder found two more. It was pretty awesome everyone was down for the gospel. We then had a dinner with a member at the bowling alley and I ate the biggest tenderloin of my life it was huge and it wrecked me I couldn't even eat the whole thing. Then after dinner we found another person and it was pretty awesome. It was also cool cause the district Leader Elder Harvey was around me while I was being trained now he's around me while I am training super crazy stuff haha.

Friday: Elder Harvey and I ended up getting up and leaving to go to interviews so he could set up his training we walked in and Sister Badger was like I heard you guys are doing awesome as a companionship it was funny cause we aren't comps. But she then realized that I was training and asked me about Elder Anderson and it was good. We then had district council and I was in it and Elder Harvey showed us a bunch of pictures and asked how to react to it. I of course had a more dramatic response then Elder Anderson. We then had interviews and we both talked way highly of each other and it was super dope. We then had some Panda Express with the zone so that was pretty lit . And then we drove back and finished our day.

Saturday:  I was way sick so I woke up and didn't feel good and so I went back to sleep and then we got a call for a blessing and we went and did that right after the McDonald's breakfast and then I was way sick again and so we stayed in the whole rest of the day it was pretty bad.

Sunday: We had a good church block it was cool. Then we talked to a pastor and then had dinner with a family named the Sevigny's and they got me a birthday cake man I am so lucky haha.

Love you all

45-20, 20 years old, walking 9 miles broken bathrooms

To begin this week we went down to Peoria for our normal p day and to get to know the zone. Because it was our first p day of the transfer. We go to the church in Peoria and the carpet was being cleaned which meant the basketball court was also being cleaned because the basketball court is carpet lol. So we ended up going to this lame park and I ate some panda Express with my companion.  We then went to another area called Morton which had a basketball court which had hardwood. So for the first time in 8 months I played basketball on the hardwood court it was awesome. Except it was a tiny court lol.

Tuesday:
We went to this town called Monmouth and we were planning to go to this town called Cameroon and then go to Monmouth. We were getting ready to turn and we were being tailed by a diesel that was the most terrifying moment of my life so we didn't turn so the Corolla wouldn't turn into a big pile of metal. So we missed the turn and went to Monmouth, but no it got worse the car in front of us turned right and like completely stopped so we stopped and the diesel didn't stop so then I put my foot on the gas and luckily we were safe, but that was like a near death experience.  Luckily the Tabernacle Choir was playing in the car so we were calm, but terrified.

Wednesday: So I got the idea we would walk to save miles so we did. We walked like a total of nine miles it was pretty brutal it was also the hottest day of the week. We also had a lesson with a person that we are teaching. It was way sad because she was paying to get miracles and pretty much paid to go see some false prophet we tried subtly to tell her, but we will probably tell her on our next appointment. It was kind of funny so Elder Anderson broke the toilet handle so we went and got a toilet handle replacement and we fixed it. So that's pretty great.

Thursday:  we woke up and went and gave a blessing early in the morning and then we got back, and  I hoped in the shower and then the shower head broke. It was from like 1980 so it didn't take much to break. But we went and got a new one so Elder Anderson could shower it was like 2 bucks and way better then the old one. We then went on exchanges and Elder Smith and I knocked one half of this street and we found four new people it was pretty rad. Then we came back and played family feud we all hated the answers it was pretty funny.

Friday: Was district council so we went to Peoria and had a good time then ate peanut butter jelly sandwiches. Then we came back to Galesburg and had a lesson, then another appointment, and then we went and got dinner at B Dubs and were able to catch a glimpse of the Utah State game #tendormercies.

Saturday: Was my birthday so I opened up all the packages I got through the week and was able to open them. We then went to Jimmy John's for lunch and then went back to the church for conference. After conference we had a dinner appointment and the family got me a cake they are such a nice family.

Sunday: We watched conference and it was pretty awesome. There were like six people all members expect for Butch who we are teaching, and they all fell asleep during conference it was so funny. We then had a dinner appointment with a family that lived 10 miles out of town so we went and had dinner with them and talked about the office and of course the gospel.
This week has been fantastic I can't wait to see what happens in the upcoming weeks.

Training

So on Monday we emailed and then I went on exchanges with my homie Elder Rivera we had so much fun he let me drive their Toyota Tacoma man that thing was a beast it was the best mission vehicle I have driven  on my mission. We ended up going to Five Guys and it was pretty awesome we ended up getting roasted by the Five Guys employees. Then we got locked in the apartment lol it was so funny we were trying to get out of the apartment.

Tuesday: we woke up and we were all chilling there was eight of us in the apartment so we were getting our transfer calls. Well I am staying in Galesburg until December because I am training a new missionary. Later that day we went back to Galesburg and Elder Jarvis said bye to so many people.

Wednesday: We had super pday so we went down to Peoria at like 9 in the morning and played basketball all day and we said bye to some people it was so sad I become so tight with Elder Rivera and a few other people. I am so grateful for all the friendships that I have gotten on my mission.

Thursday: We went to Iowa city for transfers and I had to be there at 8:45. Our member legit showed up 20 minutes late and then got lost for fifteen minutes so I was way late to  new trainers meeting. I got my greenie Elder Anderson he's pretty cool, but the funny thing is he got back in the car which was a Prius and he went over the curb and turned on French it was so funny. Then we went to Applebees it was so great.

Friday: Elder Anderson found his first person today it was pretty lit and awsome. It is so funny he has little MTC terminology and it is the funniest thing. It makes me think how much I have progressed it was so great.

Saturday:  We went knocking and all these people rejected us it was kind of sad because Elder Anderson kinda got a little disappointed. That seems normal because the MTC pumps you up and then knocking is not taught.

Sunday:  we went to church and it was pretty funny they asked him to bear his testimony so I laughed then I was asked to say the prayer I got completely wrecked it was so funny. We then had dinner and it was great. They gave us NFL scores it was really awesome.

Overall: this week has been awesome. I am feeling awesome, training has been so fun he is really awesome and It is fun teaching and it has been fun teaching him.
