Zone Conference

Well to start off I would like to apologize I had some emailing issues last week, and I do not think my email got to some people. To start off my week on Tuesday we knocked like usual.  Then we went to a dinner then we went and played some volleyball I was pretty decent and actually had success while playing. Wednesday we knocked, and that was cool we ended up getting some investigators. We then went to dinner in a town called Browning and we ended up in the middle of nowhere at some random cemetery  haha it  took us a few minutes to figure out where we were going. We drove back to Macomb and we were under a tornado watch, which was fun and then it was raining like crazy. Thursday we did some knocking and found some investigators then we went and picked up the other elders and drove to Burlington to sleep at our zone leaders apartment so that we would only need to drive an hour the next day. We drove in a giant sketchy puddle to cross the road and I thought we for sure were going to get stuck that is how much water was on it. We then went to B Dubs in Burlington and watched part of the NBA draft that was cool to watch we also saw some parts of the world cup pretty much everyone was laying on the ground the whole time we were there. We also saw the Reds beat the Cubs that was pretty cool as well because the chance of the Reds beating the Cubs was pretty small from the stats. That night it was crazy and one of the elders put eggs in the microwave haha. Friday we woke up and went to zone conference it was good we then  we had some Apple-Bees and then drove back home. Saturday we got some investigator and that was pretty good. There was like no one home so we checked out what was going on and there was a town fair a lot of people talked to us there, but no one was interested. Sunday was just church and we knocked a little. Well just so you guys know if all goes well which I am hoping it will I will have a baptism on July 14th

Nauvoo

Last p day we went and saw some of the Nauvoo sites which was cool it was definitely pretty amazing. We ended up going to the Browning house which was super cool I want to go to the museum down in Ogden when I get back home. We also went to the John Taylor house that was pretty cool too (considering he is my great, great, great, great grandpa). Tuesday Elder Jensen and I had exchanges with each other and we knocked a lot of the day and then played volleyball. Then after volleyball we had a lesson with a man named Eric, and he is the most solid person I have ever met on my mission. Just to tell you a little bit about Eric he knows pretty much everything about the lessons and it gets better he even takes work off to make it to church. He is really solid even though he technically is not my investigator he is a pretty solid man. Wednesday we were knocking and then went to a dinner with a member and got acquainted with a potential investigator he is really cool and then we went to a primary party it was alright. Thursday we pretty much had district meeting and it rained a ton and it was pretty crazy. Friday we brought our investigator Scott to Nauvoo, helped him do some family history as well as brought him to some of the sites, and we took him to Carthage it was pretty awesome. Saturday we pretty much knocked and then went to a YSA activity that was kind of weak Elder Glenn and I bailed and then went and cooked some dinner. Sunday we pretty much did nothing other then go to church, study, then knock and then go to dinner then knock.  Have a great week!

This Week

Well this week has been good. So Monday was p day and we pretty much just played ball and then ate dinner with a family. Tuesday we played some volleyball and we got this thing in the mail and it was like you are a guaranteed winner at some car dealership so we went to the car dealership and we could have won $25,000, but instead we won five dollars so that was pretty fun. Wednesday we were knocking at these apartments above the stores in the town square. This whole week we have been knocking them and we have been having a lot of success  Earlier that morning we had interviews with our Mission President which was super good. We went to Buffalo Wild Wings as a zone and that was pretty good then we got back to Macomb. On Friday we had a game night at the church which was super fun. we  got some investigators there and they bonded with the ward members which was good and we played some pretty cool games. Saturday we did some more knocking and that was cool. We have heard a lot of good music lately like in restaurants and stuff and it rained super hard.

#bashers

Well this week was pretty cool. Last Monday right before six we decided to go to Nauvoo's main street and a LDS man walked up to us and (there were 8 of us) and bought us milkshakes and he bought some waffles. Super nice old guy it was a blessing. Then we went back and Sister Spicer the lady's house that is connected to our apartment gave us KFC and then she showed us some clips on the B12 bombers for our Memorial Day celebration. Tuesday we taught one of our investigators about Joseph Smith because he has been struggling with him. We cleared up everything and he seemed very receptive which was cool. Then we played some volleyball with ward and it was fun then we drove down to Burlington, Iowa to have an exchange with our zone leaders. We got there and went to a dinner with them. The lady who fed us had a  little boy and he threw mashed potato on her. It was pretty awkward but kinda funny. We then went and played catch with her son and it was kinda in the hood so we heard some rap music which was nice. We then went back to the apartments and then Elder Kelley a zone leader gave me a haircut it was pretty cool. Wednesday Elder Caterson and I went knocking we found 5 really solid people and we also had this one guy bash us about polygamy in all honesty I had no Idea if I could handle myself in a bash. Well I handled myself pretty well Elder Caterson and I testified about Joseph Smith and tried to clear up false things he had heard. We also got in another bash and then this guy said a prayer and bashed on the Book of Mormon during the prayer it was wack. We then ate lunch at this good place called Jerry's Lunch it was pretty good food. Thursday we went and knocked and found some people. Friday we went on exchanges with the Elders in Macomb north. We went and what do you know Elder Gardener and I got in a bash with a lady and she kept saying we weren't christian and we were like we believe in Christ and she then was like you guys believe in re-carnation so we explained the plan of salvation. Saturday we did some knocking and we then got kicked out of a trailer park the owner went crazy it was pretty funny. Sunday we watched the President Nelson devotional and it was pretty cool I straight up thought they were going to announce missionaries in China so that's wild. Well its been a great week I love you guys and miss y'all.
