Transfer Week

So I am still in Macomb! My new comp is cash money aka Elder Glenn. He is pretty cool he is from Arizona. Then Elder Gardner is staying in Macomb too and he got Elder Jensen. Well  so Monday we were on exchanges, which was good and we knocked these really rich houses the people where super chill but no one was interested. On Tuesday we got our transfer calls which was exciting so basically all day we had transfer hype. On Wednesday we had super p-day and went to Carthage which was super cool you could totally feel the spirit so strong in that little small jail. It was definitely such a great spiritual experience. We then went to the temple man the Nauvoo Temple is  so beautiful the inside is so pretty as well. It is definitely a great temple. Thursday was when we got our new comps so basically  Elder Gardener and I went on exchanges as we waited for our new companions. Also I am driving so that is pretty cool the only weak thing is the tiwi you can go 7 over the speed limit before it sends you a check your speed and it does not help that Macomb is pretty much a speed trap it switches like every mile. Friday we went knocking for most of the day and had a get to know you district meeting. Then on Saturday we had two lessons. So  that was cool. On Sunday we went to church which it was alright as always. We had a investigator there, which was fun and then we went knocking so I am going on round three of knocking Macomb.  We found 4 new investigators though so we will be getting Macomb baptized. This week has been great and I would like to challenge you guys to go to the temple as often as you can. I have felt the most peace on my mission in the temple and know that it is definitively a blessing back home as well.

End of Transfer

This week has been a crazy week . This Thursday we get transferred basically what that means for me is I get a new companion and I have a 95% chance of staying in Macomb so that's cool. Last week we did a ton of knocking. So last Monday we went on a walk around Nauvoo where we found out President Nelson was there and he visited with all the senior missionaries in Nauvoo and he also visited with "performing missionaries" So basically that was like ahhh we were so close to the prophet. Well on Tuesday we pretty much knocked a ton so we basically have knocked all of our area twice so I have no idea what I am going to knock next transfer. Wednesday we knocked had a lesson or two that went well, and then we played basketball with the elders quarum, who got all of these college kids there so it was fun playing basketball and getting to know some non members. Thursday we basically and had a few lessons. I also burnt a steak haha I was so bad at cooking that the fire alarm went off and it was a giant mess haha the member that our house is connected to called me and made sure we were alive. We also then went back out and knocked  and found a Russian lady that was pretty cool. Friday we went on exchanges and I went with Elder Harvey and his companion had a baptism so I basically helped clean the font and stuff it was  a pain the font was a disaster. We then went to a town called Fountain Green its basically a junk yard with a few houses in the middle and all these people just yelled at us it was kind of funny cause it was every house. We then went and visited this guy who is like a giant hunter and stuff and it was basically like visiting Cabelas and stuff. He also had some St. Louis Rams memorabilia, which was cool. Saturday basically we ended up setting up the baptism like the chairs and stuff so that was fun. The baptism took way longer than it should have so that took up like are whole day we also went knocking so that was Saturday. On Sunday it was church nothing really happened that was crazy we went knocking and found this guy from China who spoke like no English so we basically google translated this guy and talked to him also we ran into a lady that was not interested, but when she found out I was from Utah she then asked if I was a Jazz fan and I said of course and then basically she was telling me how cute Karl Malone was so that was kind of funny.

Kayne

Well the whole reason why I named this email Kanye was because we were in Buffalo Wild Wings and we ended up hearing one of his new songs so that was lit.  Well in other news I am on Facebook as a missionary so if you guys have a Facebook account you could totally friend me and get all the good stuff I will be posting. To tell you a little bit about my week I completely  forgot what we did on Monday so I am very sorry my memory is just horrible because we do so much stuff every day I just try to remember the highlights. Tuesday we knocked pretty much all day then went and played volleyball with the ward my volley ball skills are getting to be average now. On Wednesday we helped our homie Cameron who is a member move he broke his ankle playing basketball with us a few weeks ago and lives on the second story of an apartment so we helped him move, and haha he is getting married this next week. He then took us to Buffalo Wild Wings were I got the sports updates. We then knocked the rest of the day. Thursday we pretty much tracked all day which was exhausting except we got to see a mad max fanatic that transformed his car into the car in the movie. It was pretty cool. We then went to our apartment and we found Stratego a board game so we play that every night for a little stress reliever. Friday was zone conference and basically we sat through 6 hours of how not be stupid on the internet it is kind of sad that we had to go through so much logical things. Saturday we went and saw Ivan and he is that lit old man with all the cars he is progressing and knowing the gospel is true it is amazing. Basically that was our Saturday we went to a YSA (young single adult) activity and we ate great value pizza I do not recommend that. Sunday was a great meeting we got an investigator it is our super yoked member. We then went to our ward mission leaders house to call home it was great I loved seeing my family. To close I would like to close with my testimony on the power of pray. While on my call home my mom requested that we say a family pray before I left. I have not felt such a powerful pray even through a screen the spirit was so strong.

Three Months Down

Well today is my third month that I have been out on my mission. I have been reflecting on these past three months and I have realized it has been the hardest three months of my life leaving family and friends behind. It has also been a cool experience as well I have been able to gain  more gospel knowledge. To start off this week has been pretty crazy. We ended up getting our investigator Ivan to church so that was pretty exciting We also went on exchanges and Elder Harvey and I  went to a little small dinky town called Vermont,  Illinois but everyone was so nice to us and there were not really any negative people there. In fact we were given water and invited inside peoples houses then we were denied. We also went and did some service and helped the other Elders investigator move couches and stuff. So basically this week was just moving furniture and knocking doors and getting our lit investigator to church. And going to a little kids birthday party. Enjoy the pictures!
